Baccali Cafe & Rotisserie Reviews
The food is so good! This time had the XO minced beef fried rice, salt and pepper fried squid, black bean fish, kids cheese pizza and strawberry snow. We love the fried rice. That and the fried squid are our go to! And the kids pizza is enough for an adult lol. And its really good! Our young party member loves the snow drinks. There is an ok amount of parking but we usually don't have too hard of a time finding a spot. Even when its busy. Inside its pretty big with plenty of tables. Service is always great and fast. As usual, our server was super nice and very receptive to our food allergy. It can be difficult with seafood so we super appreciate the sincerity! Thank you for another delicious lunch experience!
Hainan chicken, 4/5. Good flavor, but kinda cold. Off menu items, no problemmo. Tomato beef chow mein, with thin crispy noodles. 5/5 Tell them how you want your noodles cooked. Comes with a scrambled egg to make the sauce creamy, surprising good...more sweet than sour in taste. Our go to lunch spot. Mom loves it here. Our off menu item has eye appeal, a customer being seated saw our dish and ordered it too.
The portion of pasta is HUGE. You look at it and you immediately think challenge accepted. Most of the dishes come with a carb (rice or pasta) and boiled veggies. What more does an Asian want? The quality of the meat isn't the best but with the prices and serving size, this is still a classic in the SGV. Service isn't the best. Don't expect that they'll ask you how the food was every 5 mine, because they won't. You need to flag someone down to take your order but the food is good. Ambiance isn't great. It's a simple setup of tables and chairs in a Chinese restaurant. But the food is good.
Good old Baccali still offering some of the best bang for your buck, quality Chinese/HK cafe food options. I always try and get a combo with the chicken steak option. I would say if you have never eaten at a cafe like this you should definitely get the grilled chicken steak and filet mignon cube option that comes with white rice (or tomato pasta) with your choice of sauce. You have the option between black pepper, mushroom, garlic, onion, or korean, but I always choose the black pepper. If you go during lunch you can add a hot or cold drink with your meal for an additional $2.25 with unlimited refills. I would highly recommend going to Baccali if you are not sure about what you want because they have a million options that can satisfy anyone's appetite and they don't skimp on serving size.
We had late lunch here today with 9 guests. Service was quick and the food was good. Server refilled drinks. Restaurant is clean. Parking: They have their own lot. Rating: 4 Stars
